Disney Stars Lucas Adams and Shelby Wulfert Are Married

The Days of Our Lives actor announced “I do” to actress Shelby Wolfert on October 16 at Chateau Hiddenwood Estates in Waxahachie, Texas.

“This is really the beginning of building our family together and what it means to us,” Wolfert revealed to PEOPLE. “We want to have kids in a few years so start preparing for the next chapter of parenthood and the rest of our lives.”

Adams, 29 along with Wolfert, 28 began dating in 2016 when they were featured on the Disney Channel’s Liv & Maddie and became engaged in 2021.

“We were friends at first,” Wolfert remembers. “And then after a while, Lucas was very sweet. He was like, ‘I have to tell you that I have a crush on you.’ And then, I was like, ‘Oh, thank God, I do too!’ “

Wulfurt was walking through the aisle to a rousing version of “La Vie En Rose” and later joined Adams on a stunning deck that overlooked an acquisition. They exchanged vows before 40 guests and family members.

The bride was wearing the Jenny Yew satin crepe dress from BHLDN purchased from Anthropologie Los Angeles. It had an open V on the front and an asymmetrical back. “It’s very beautiful,” the bride’s father stated. “It’s like a banana lily flower came to life and became a vintage Hollywood star. It was the first dress I ever tried on.”

After the wedding ceremony, which was officiated by a close friend of the wedding couple meatballs and lasagna were served outside in the sun–it is “a good old pasta feast,” Wolfert adds. The couple listened to music on the selected Spotify playlist.

The cake was made up of two layers of buttercream in white decorated with greenery and flowers to compliment the green.

“We have a lot of beautiful vintage touches that are very meaningful to us,” she says. “Like our cake topper is actually from my grandparents’ wedding in 1951.”

Regarding your honeymoon “we’re having a mini-moon in Dallas,” Adams declares. Adams. “So we can go and just kind of hang out and relax for a few days. We’ll be staying at Rosewood Mansion. We’re really excited.”

Their marriage is now officially official Wolfert enjoys a benefit that is very much looking forward to experiencing.

“I’m really excited to come up with a bunch of husband nicknames for him,” she says. “All the weird things I could call him as my husband… great hoo-bino, you know, the options are endless.”
