Joel McHale has been chosen to play one of the leading parts in the forthcoming Fox show called ” Animal Control,” which Variety has discovered.
The single-camera series was taken straight to series by Fox in July. According to the official description this show “will follow a group of local Animal Control workers whose lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not.”
McHale will portray Frank McHale will play Frank, who is described as “an extremely opinionated and quirky Animal Control officer who may not have been a college student however he is the most knowledgeable one in the group. A former police officer, Frank tried to expose the corruption in his department however, his efforts led to him being fired, which is why he’s so sarcastic and adamant. Frank has an almost supernatural ability to communicate with animals. Humans…not as much.”
The role is an opportunity to lead an NBC show on a broadcast TV show for McHale who is most famous for his part as character in his role in the NBC comedy program “Community.” The show was a hit on the NBC network, with one season on NBC along with one episode on the defunct Yahoo Screen streaming service. The news was recently revealed that the actors would be reunited to film a follow-up at Peacock. on Peacock.
McHale is also famous to be the host of the E! program “The Soup” and for films like “Spider-Man 2,” “Ted,” “The Happytime Murders,” and “Spy Kids: All the Time in the World.” McHale can also be seen on”Stargirl,” the DC show “Stargirl” at The CW.

“Animal Control” will be Fox’s first live-action comedy. It is the brainchild of writers and executive producers Bob Fisher, and Rob Greenberg along with Dan Sterling, with Tad Quill and Tad Quill also executive producing. McHale will be executive producing and will also be a star. Fox Entertainment Studios will produce. McHale will be at MIPCOM Cannes to support the show when it’s presented to buyers from around the world.
