“I’m your girl,” Palmer declared. “I’m ready.”
“Sister Act” star Whoopi Goldberg recently shared her dream casting for a possible third installment of the show’s nun comedy. “I’m going to request Keke to join me. It’s true, I want everyone to be there. I’d like Lizzo to be there,” Goldberg said during her appearance on Comedy Central’s “Hell of a week with Charlamagne Tha God.” Nicki Minaj is also on her list of wishes.
“When I went on ‘The View,’ Whoopi and I talked about it,” Palmer declared. “I’m definitely here, you know what I’m saying?”
She continued, “Call me, Whoopi!”
Palmer was also open about her role in Aziz’s feature-length directorial debut ” Being Mortal.” In April, Searchlight Pictures suspended production with approximately a month remaining after a complaint regarding co-star William Murray’s inappropriate behavior was made.
Palmer admits she isn’t sure when the film will be complete. “If somebody could figure it out, it would be Aziz,” she added. “Obviously we cut the film in the middle at some point, however, I’ll say that I’m pretty upset. This is an amazing film. If there’s any method finish, or even salvage it, I’d love to make it happen.”
Palmer did not address the Murray controversy, but he did mention possible cameras being rolled again without Murray: “[Ansari] would probably have to do a major rewrite, but I know what we got was gold.”
